WB/BOW FOR A MAJOR FROM JUDGE GLORIA REESE AT LOMPOC. SKYE WAS HANDLED BY DOTTIE TRULOCK OF TRUHAVEN BORZOI.
Skye, AKA Princess of the
Universe, has easily accomplished everything ever asked of
her... save one -- when finally given the opportunity to
produce a litter, she chose to remain the Virgin Queen...
much to our disappointment.
She chased the plastic bunny and competently got her JC.
Limitations in available time prevented her from finishing
her CD, unfortunately, though her biddable nature made her
a natural obedience dog. It was therefore most considerate
of Skye to acquire the points necessary for her American
Championship in a one month period during the summer of
1998 with 3 majors (two 5, one 4), a couple of singles in
between, along with two major Reserves at Specialties. The
first of the 5 point majors was earned as WB/BOW under
judge Gloria Reese at BCOC's 50th Anniverary Specialty held
at the Western Sighthound cluster in Lompoc California, and
the second two days later under judge Audrey Sutton (her
litter sister, L'eggs, was WB/BOW both the day before and
day after to finish). Skye finished WB/BOW under judge Pat
Ellis at the TSE Samammish show a month later, the day
after going RWB at the PSBC Specialty. It was an exciting
month!
Skye did not enjoy the "show dog" life, however, so was
allowed to stay home and has ruled our lives here since.
She remains healthy and fairly active at nearly 12, and has
never lost her ability to cover ground effortlessly with
grace and beauty. With firm kindness and minimal effort
Skye has trained each arriving puppy to the way of life at
Islehaven. We hope she lives forever.
